About Clinton

The tiny town of Clinton is located on the southeastern coast of Whidbey Island. The town’s biggest claim to fame is that it is home to a Washington State Ferry terminal that mans the crossing between Clinton and Mukilteo. Clinton is a beautiful little area of the island and one that is very welcoming.

Things To Do In Clinton

The chief thing to do when visiting Clinton is to enjoy the rest and relaxation that this sleepy little corner of Whidbey Island can provide. From a number of points there you can find laid back places to sit and watch the boat and ship action on Saratoga Passage, the little slice of Puget Sound right out Clinton’s front window. This small little getaway is also home to a golf course, dog park, ways to access the shoreline, and an alpaca farm. Clinton is a real asset to the Cascade Loop, that’s for sure.

Clinton – The Surrounding Area

Clinton is surrounded by waterfront homes, farmland, small forests, lakes, housing developments and drive by communities. To get to real urban attractions, you’ll have to take a ride on the Washington State Ferry across the water to the mainland. On the southern end of Whidbey Island, some of the popular attractions would be natural areas where you can get some fresh air like Dave Mackie County Park, Possession Point State Park, Possession Point County Park, some farms open to the public, several interesting art galleries, Double Bluff County Park, golf courses, a winery and more. There are even more things to do and see further north on the island in and around places like Coupeville and Oak Harbor.
