Leavenworth’s parks, including Waterfront Park, Blackbird Island, and Front Street Park help make it a welcoming community. When you visit there you will also be treated to breweries, wineries, live performances, a small local ski hill, trailheads, golf courses, museums, a national fish hatchery, miniature golf, horse drawn carriage tours, and zipline courses. Leavenworth – The Surrounding Area

The area that surrounds Leavenworth is equally rich in things to do and see. This is one of the best hiking areas in the state of Washington, with plenty of great trails to find in all directions. Biking is popular on the local roads and even in off road areas. The Lake Wenatchee area and Tumwater Canyon are located just to the west and are scenic and open to outdoor recreation. Traveling up the Icicle Canyon will bring you to campgrounds, trailheads, rock climbing possibilities, and more. The Stevens Pass Ski Area is also to the west and Leavenworth is a great place to stay during a ski vacation. To the east, you’ll find Wenatchee and the Columbia River which also delivers some great experiences. Getting out and about in the wilderness area around Leavenworth offers you the chance to go horseback riding, hiking, snowmobiling, sledding, snowshoeing, rafting, kayaking, and more. It’s virtually impossible to visit Leavenworth and feel like you have nothing to do.
