About Peshastin

The community of Peshastin sits right at the junction of Highway 2 and Highway 97. From there you can choose to head west on the Cascade Loop to Leavenworth and Stevens Pass, or south over Blewett Pass to Cle Elum, Ellensburg, or to access Interstate 90. This tiny little place is surrounded by orchards growing apples, pears, peaches, nectarines, and more. The packing and shipping of all that produce is one of the main economic drivers of the local economy. Visiting there though offers a chance to sink down into small town life and also access the many entertainment and recreation options all around very easily. Peshastin is a great little spot on the Cascade Loop that is worth a quick visit or an overnight stay.

Peshastin has a nice selection of local bed and breakfasts as well as rural vacation rentals. There are even a couple of nearby eating establishments that are legendary locally for serving what is very close to a home cooked meal. The Wenatchee River runs right by Peshastin and if you hang out along the shore during spring, summer, or early fall you’re sure to see some rafting groups go floating by. There are a number of river guides in this area who treat vacationers to this kind of trip down the river and it can be more fun that you would ever expect. Peshastin is also home to a a number of roadside produce stands as well as a couple of local wineries. Choosing to pull off the Cascade Loop and spend some time in Peshastin is a great decision.

The area surrounding Peshastin has a ton to offer every traveler who goes there. A nearby fruit stand and petting zoo aimed at entertaining the whole family has been earning return visitors for years. The town of Leavenworth, the famous Bavarian themed village that is one of the state’s most popular tourist destination, is just a few minutes west of Peshastin. Beyond that, Tumwater Canyon and the Lake Wenatchee area are also popular with locals and travelers alike. To the east, the small community of Cashmere and the city of Wenatchee also offer a great many things to see and do, some quite unique. All around Peshastin you will find great attractions like wineries, farmland, museums, county and state parks, bike trails, hiking opportunities, a national fish hatchery, hydroelectric dams, historical sites, and more. This is a wonderful area to use as a headquarters for any visit to the Wenatchee Valley.
