About Wenatchee and the Columbia River
Wenatchee is the largest city on the eastern side of the Cascade Loop. It has a lot to offer, including everything from museums and concert venues to the amazing Apple Capital Loop Trail. This area is known for outdoor recreation and you can find all kinds of hiking, biking, kayaking, rafting, skiing, camping, and paddle boarding options in all directions. There are also some very interesting hydroelectric dams on the Columbia River to visit there too. If you travel the Cascade Loop during the warmer months, Wenatchee will also offer you some great chances to sample some of the best local produce around. The Wenatchee area, and north along the Columbia, is a very fun part of the Cascade Loop to explore.
